Nina Brachmann, Principal Consultant
Prior to founding Global Steps, Nina gained 7 years of international HR experience working for two large global corporations in both Europe and North America. During her corporate career she specialized on the management of international assignments, quickly establishing a track record of creating, improving and streamlining relocation related policies and processes that took into account both cost effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
Finding herself at the receiving end of a corporate transfer, Nina came to Canada with her employer in 2002. This experience of relocating, settling into a new country and going through the immigration process herself (from work permits to permanent residence to citizenship) has proven to be invaluable in her work with international candidates, foreign workers, prospective immigrants and their employers.
After arriving in Canada, Nina focussed more and more on inbound relocations and “learning-by-doing” the intricacies of Canadian immigration. As her employers were forced to respond to economic ups and downs, she became skilled in managing the immigration needs during hiring frenzies and downsizing providing advice to both management and employees while staying on top of ever changing immigration regulations.
As Principal Consultant of Global Steps Relocation, Nina assists numerous companies across Canada (large and small) with the preparation of work permit and permanent residence applications for their employees and has established herself as a trusted Canadian immigration resource for employers and employees alike.
